Privacy policy
Effective date: 2026-10-29
False Bottom collects no data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the game never connects to the internet. Everything it saves stays on your iPhone. On the App Store, its privacy label is Data Not Collected.
This policy covers the False Bottom app for iPhone and this website. False Bottom is made by Syed Javaid ("we", "us").
What we collect
Nothing. False Bottom contains no networking code and makes no network requests, so nothing you do in the game is sent to us or to anyone else. The privacy policy and support links in the app's settings open these pages in Safari; the game itself doesn't load them.
What stays on your iPhone
False Bottom saves a few things inside the app on your iPhone so the game works the next time you open it:
- your settings, such as sound, music, haptics and the zipper;
- your progress: the stars you've earned on each bag, your Daily Bag results by date, and whether you've found the secret and seen the ending;
- the bag you're on, with your arrangement and how many tries you've had, so you can carry on if the app closes;
- a count of how many times you've shut the case.
False Bottom never asks for your name or any other personal information. None of this is synced to iCloud or sent anywhere. Like other app data, it's included in your iPhone's own backups.
Removing it
To remove everything False Bottom has saved on your iPhone, delete the app.
The hinge
On iPhone Duo, False Bottom reads the hinge while you play: whether the phone is closed, partly open or fully open, and how far it's open. Closing and opening the phone shut and unzip the case; the angle only shades the lid and plays the creak sound. The hinge readings are used in the moment on your iPhone and are never stored or sent. Only the count of shuts mentioned above is saved, on your iPhone.
What False Bottom doesn't use
False Bottom doesn't use the camera, the microphone, motion sensors, location, contacts or photos, and it never asks for those permissions. Its art is drawn by the app and its sounds are generated by the app; nothing is recorded.
Third parties
False Bottom contains no third-party code: no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. It has no Game Center, no sign-in and no in-app purchases.
Apple and your iPhone
Apple runs the App Store and may collect information under its own privacy policy, for example when you download the app. If you turn on sharing with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics; you control that in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements. Backups of your iPhone are between you and Apple; we can't see them.
Children
False Bottom is a wordless cartoon puzzle, and children may play it. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There are no ads, no purchases, no chat and no way to contact other people in the app. If you believe a child has emailed us, tell us and we'll delete the message.
Your choices and rights
Because we hold no data about you, there's nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. We don't sell or share personal information. You can delete the app at any time, as described above.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics, trackers, web fonts or scripts, and loads nothing from other sites. It's hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare may log technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you email us
False Bottom has no in-app contact form. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any list. Our email is handled by Gmail (Google).
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. A version of False Bottom that collects data would say so here and in its App Store privacy label first.
